Fashion and its Re-emergence

Some people consider the different trends in fashion simply as fads. Behind the scenes, the various fashion industry players are always on the search to bring up something new.

By ‘trend’, we mean the direction in which something new takes shape or evolve. So, fashion trend can be called as the latest evolvement in the area of fashion. Fashion trend is all about people who walk and look their own way and dress up as they like. These people try to match their steps with the latest in fashion designs. The fashion industry, as such, is a continuously evolving and changing world. Some trends are generally considered as nonsensical and outdated, while some trends make a comeback with sensible and innovative ideas.

In the new millennium, one is witness to the fast pace and re-emergence of some fashion trends of the yesteryears. For instance, the pegged pant legs and the denim jeans seem to be returning to their heydays in fashion again. It seems as if the latest fashion trends contain nothing new; it is as if everything re-emerged to make a new fashion trend. And, one can find the ‘torn’ fashion in jeans in almost all clothing store.

So, who are the people who decide what’s the ‘in’ thing or the ‘hot’ thing in fashion. There are no particular sets of people who declare what constitutes the hottest in fashion trend. The esteemed fashion designers and fashion conscious consumers who purchase the fashion merchandise formulate their own judgment and speak out their opinions. In fact, it is the consumers, or ‘we’, that decide which fashion is hot by deciding to purchase a particular piece of clothing.

If we observe the ‘Fashion Trend Cycle’, we can see that in the initial part of the cycle, a particular trend is highly pursued or hunted down immediately after seeing a fashionable hat, a fashionable outfit or a shoe on the ramp, red carpet or at a music video award session. This is followed by the emulation phase, where every fashion conscious person wants to have a piece of the pie.  In the next phase, this new trend will appear in fashion magazines, movies, TV or the internet. And finally, the trend will hit the market. This was not the case a few decades ago as it used to take some years for a new fashion to make it from the ramps to the market. Nowadays, a new fashion trend makes it appearance in some discount retail store in a matter of days or weeks.

So, how does one know whether a new fashion trend will last long for some time to come? In general, most of these trends last for nearly one year and some a little bit longer. Statistics states that fashion trends make its re-appearance every twenty years. That is the reason behind minis skirts of the 80s gaining acceptance nowadays.

It's relatively unimportant to history. However, since you have to pretend that it is, just discuss the differences between classes' clothing, the difference of religious leaders clothing, and the changes seen in mens clothing versus women's clothing. Research various cultures, and maybe you point out unique clothing like in Korea they have the traditional han bok for various customs.

you can become a buyer for stores or work as a sales rep. as a buyer you get to choose clothing for stores- which can be a lot if hard but brings a lot of pressure. sales is just as pressured, and buyers get paid more.

they are the ones who create the fashion, they design the trends. it's high street brands and people in advertising who do the forecasting, based on what the lovely designers give them.

they normally design a two seasons ahead. but they only come out on the catwalks one season before.

so the spring/summer collection will come out in winter. but the designers will be on the next autumn/winter collection.

Read TeenVogue, it's the best way to follow the fashion trends. People and Instyle have fashion updates for people your age sometimes. Keep your make-up safe, and clean with a glow that makes you the way you are. Don't make it too dramatic. Even out your make up; maybe a little bit of mascara, eyeliner, a touch of eyeshadow, a little bit of blush, and some gloss will do. Guys don't like it when girls have too much make up. I personally don't like Forever21 because their clothes are cheap material so I recommend that you shop at Nordstroms, Urban Outfitters, and H&M. Always dress according to the ocasio and weather, keep your accessories cute, never mix&match, but don't over accessorize. These days, the bigger the better. Don't carry around a dinky little purse, get your oufit to look more fabulous by carrying a purse that has a lot of room and style to it. Jeans are very important. I love Citizens of Humanity, True Religions, and William Rast jeans. Do not get jeans that are too tight. You'll get a muffin top which means that your fats goes over your jeans beacause your jeans are too tight. It was stated on E!'s 50 fashion do and don't. Make sure to keep the length right, and the butt area looking fit. I use Nu Skin, which is not a very well known brand, but it is the best. I was breaking out one time, I applyed some facial acne creame, the next day it was gone. And for your make up, go to Sephora, not MAC. MAC makes you look like a cake face. GOOD LUCK!

    Teen Vogue for sure! :)

But Seventeen is still good for young adults too, I think.
